- MYRON LEE LINER, Ed. D., 96, of Commerce Township, Michigan died on October 4th, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte (Davis) Liner for 75 years. Devoted father of Philip (Rosanne) Liner, David (Lori) Liner, and Valerie (Arthur) Rosner. Treasured grandfather of Michael (Hallie) Liner, Danny (Debbie) Liner, Alan Liner, Rebecca (Ethan) Rosenberg, Elizabeth (partner Alicia Homeszyn) Rosner, and Rin Rosner; proud great-grandfather of Eliana Liner, Dylan Liner, Hannah Liner, and Max Rosenberg. Also survived by his dear sisters-in-law Elaine Lopatin and Nola Davis, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Jerry (Evie) Liner, brothers-in-law Reuben Lopatin and Sam Davis, and his parents Philip Liner and Eva Liner Bernstein.
Family was of utmost importance to Myron. He often mentioned that he and Charlotte felt blessed to have such an amazing immediate and extended family; in turn, his family adored him deeply. He volunteered to help his family without hesitation, and when asked a favor, he did it willingly and without hesitation. It comforted him to know that his family was there for him whenever he needed something.
Myron served for 9 years in the Air Force Reserve at Selfridge Air Base, and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant. He was the Deputy Director of the poverty program in Detroit, then retired as a vice-president of United Way of Southeast Michigan and was on the board of several human service organizations. He was a lifelong learner who completed his Ed.D. from Wayne State at the age of 57.
Myron will be sorely missed by relatives, friends, and colleagues, all who greatly respected him for his mentorship, empathy, and compassion.
