- Marion was born in 1931 to Anna and Joseph Silverstein and raised in the Lawndale area of Chicago with her three older brothers (Michael, Nathan and Harold). She attended William Penn elementary school and John Marshall high school where she was a vivacious and bright student. After graduation, she married twice and raised her family in the Chicago area until the family relocated to Southfield, Michigan. Once there, she earned both a nursing degree and MSW and was employed at Providence hospital and Mount Carmel Mercy hospital. Also, she was one of the founders of the Alzheimer’s chapter of Detroit. She loved to travel (especially to her ancestral home in the Ukraine), was a proud member of the West Bloomfield Jewish community and committed friend to those who knew her.
Marion was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Edward Cardiff and is survived by her children Larry Goldenberg and Debra Marcus(Eliot), grandchildren Erin and Samuel Wolson (Christina) and great grandchildren Maya and Leo Wolson.
