His work extended beyond the studio, as he broadcast live from across Michigan and around the world. His distinctive voice, curiosity, and unwavering commitment to his craft left an enduring impression on listeners across the state.

A proud supporter of the University of Michigan, Warrenwas an avid Wolverines football fan. His passion for the team and college football began during his years as a sideline reporter for WJR under Coach Bo Schembechler. This enthusiasm remained a lifelong passion.

Warren is survived by his four daughters: Karen (Ryan) Rosett; Meredith (Alan) Block; Alexandra (Zachary) Taves; and Samantha Pierce. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jane, Esther, Abe, and Joey. Warren maintained close relationships with his former wives, Darlene Sosnick and Jacquelyn Pierce, who were all significant parts of his life.

Throughout his life, Warren had a deep love for animals, particularly Golden Retrievers. He spent his days with his beloved dog, Duke, who provided him with immense comfort and companionship.
